A Bit About Me . . .

Unlike most photo editors, I didn’t start as a photographer and get burned out. Nope, I went straight for my first love; photo editing!

The first time I opened a picture in Photoshop, I realized it was a match made in heaven! An overwhelming, intimidating match, but perfect nonetheless. Now, 10 years later, I filter the world through a Photoshop screen, picturing what I would do to enhance the sunset and add a few fireflies while we are on the porch, mentally running through the editing process required to remove the juice stain on the rug, thinking through the Photoshop commands I would use while putting on my makeup, mentally using the clone stamp & spot heal to clean my smudgy windows, making a soothing, relaxing preset in my head as I settle my kids down for nap time, etc.

You get the idea. I love photo editing, making your pictures amazing, and making your memories picture perfect!

Do I do anything besides photo editing, head swapping or adding people to pictures? I’m a very happy wife to my best friend Jeremy, homeschool mom to three preschoolers/toddlers, and a wannabe homesteader trying to keep my flock of ducks alive and my garden growing on our 11 acres. In my free time I love to learn new things, reread my favorite books, quilt, and scour pinterest for new ideas that I don’t have time for.

What’s My Style?

I want your photos to be natural, beautiful, clean of any distractions, and realistically vibrant.

For photographers looking to outsource their photo editing, this really doesn’t matter because I will be matching your style, but if you are looking to edit personal photos, you might be curious about my philosophy of photo editing . . .

I want to take your photos and refine them to match your memories. I don’t want to take your photo and make you unrecognizable. I don’t want you to look back on your vacation pictures and not be sure where you were because it doesn’t look anything like you remembered it.  Whether that means adding the photographer (probably you!) back into the family picture, removing the strangers in the background, doing multiple face swaps until you finally have a happy picture of all your kids, or fixing your photo to give it a professional feel, I can do it. 

I am a skilled Photoshop artist with an excellent eye for color, proportion, and lighting. I can reliably match and enhance colors, skin tones, and light/shadow to make your pictures look incredible.

I want my work to catch your eye, draw you in, and elicit joyful memories. My preferred style as an artist is simple, warm, joyful, colorful, and eye catching. You might be able to see from my website that I’m not your typical “coral and soft warm neutral with white swirly font you can’t read” type of girl. I’m more of a “earthy, blue, and stripes” person! (though I can match and create many different styles.)

I am a small home business in the USA. I am proud of being a mom working out of my family room while the kids play or nap. Because I’m a mom, I totally understand the frustration of not being able to get a decent picture of your whole family. Or coming home after a fun day out just to realize that none of your pictures came out just right but you can’t redo them. Or thinking that a picture where you don’t love how you look is “good enough” (we can fix it!) Or forgetting to get an entire family picture & needing to add someone in. That’s where my photo editing skill comes in handy (for both of us!)

It’s Just You & Me!

If you are a professional photographer looking to outsource your work to me, this doesn’t really apply to you because I will be working to match your style. However, if you are looking have personal photos edited, you will probably want to learn how I work.

You will be communicating with me the entire time and will enjoy clear, helpful directions and advice through the entire process. Even if it means I lose a job, I will always tell you the truth about whether a photo is able to be edited, will print well, etc. You tell me exactly what you are looking for and I do the job; nothing gets lost in translation.

Really though, with over 10 years of experience, you’ll get excellent results because I am passionate about my work and give every project the highest level of attention to detail. I can make your personal photos match any style you would like, whether you are looking to make a photo match those taken in another light, duplicate an old time western photo or embrace the light airy look of many professional photos.
